The Invincibles Tour on behalf of their members and junior golfers throughout South East Queensland, would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Ian Denny (owner) and his great team at their beautifully presented Golf Course.

The Tour would also like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to the great team in the Pro Shop (Dan Morrison – Head Professional) their bar staff, caterers, and ground staff for presenting their course and facilities in magnificent condition, but most importantly, for making everyone feel so welcome.

If you haven’t visited the reformed and beautifully presented Peregian Golf Course (Queensland - Australia) or enjoyed a round of golf on their challenging par 72 layout, that's situated a comfortable sixty-five-minute drive North of Brisbane, then you are really missing out on one of Queensland’s and the Sunshine Coasts most enjoyable experiences.

After a couple of days of storms and heavy rain, The Invincibles Tour headed to Peregian Golf Course to contest their Junior Classic, where they were treated to a cracker of a day that really set the scene for two very keen golfers in Taj Egea (Woolston Park) and Sunday Moore (Noosa Springs) who went on to win the classic with solid rounds of………..

74 and 78 respectively!

Gross runner-Up in the boys, went to Fahim Hilmi (Pacific) with 75, the girl’s runner-up in gross was Ionna Muir (Maroochy River) who had 80!

The Nett Winner in the boy’s division went to Drew Fernley (Pine Rivers) with 67, runner-up went to Tyler Paris (Peregian) with 72 nett.

The girl’s nett division saw Maroochy River teammates, Ellianna MacRae win with 67, with Ava Stewart being runner-up on 71.

“It is a bit of a mystery as to why our senior members didn’t take up the opportunity, or challenge of contesting the Peregian Junior Classic, given it’s a great event hosted by a magnificently presented golf course?”

The Invincibles Tour on behalf of the juniors and their parents, would like to pass on their thanks

and appreciation to the team at Peregian, that included Daniel Morrison (Golf Director – Head Professional) and his team in the Pro Shop, their Ground Staff, Caterers, Bar Staff, who had their course and facilities set up magnificently to host what was another excellent day out on Tour, but most importantly, as with most clubs, for the way they make everyone feel so welcome.

Congratulations to Taj Egea (Woolston Park p-1 below) and Sunday Moore (Noosa Springs p-2) for qualifying for The Invincibles 2020 IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship that will be hosted by the very generous and supportive Peregian Golf Course, Twin Waters, Pelican Waters, and Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort during the last week of the September School holidays (27th of September to the 1st of October – 2020).

In her first eighteen hole event, Ellianna MacRae (Maroochy River p-3-4 above) showed enormous composure for someone so young to win The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Course Cup with a magnificent 67 nett, and by doing so, qualified for the Sunshine Coast Gold Cup of Cups Championship that will be hosted by Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort, Sunday November the 24th, followed immediately by The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner (all qualifiers are requested to make themselves available at the dinner).

Congratulations to the powerful Maroochy River team for building on their unassailable lead in The Invincibles 2019 Inter – Club Team Shield.

Points for Round 12 were as follows: Maroochy River earned the four points for winning, Noosa Springs earned two points for second, with Peregian Golf Course coming in third to earn one point!!!

Highlights included: Drew Fernley’s birdie on the 1st, Lewis Shaughnessy’s approach to 5 and Joshua Holbrook’s fifteen metre putt from off the green for birdies, Ellianna MacRae and Sienna Coghlan’s tee shots on 12, Taj Egea and Sunday Moore’s brilliant ten and fifteen metre putts from off the twelfth green for birdies, which were just a few of the many highlights during the day.

A Major Highlight; was for the second junior event in a row, we witnessed everyone that had won an award, staid back for presentations.

To witness all trophy winners, accept their awards was fantastic and goes a long way towards showing the organisers and sponsors that they are appreciated and not taken for granted!

The Tour would like to thank those that take the time to pass on highlights that happen during our junior events, as we feel it adds to the day and it’s nice to acknowledge great performances.

A huge thanks to Frank Schmidt for the enormous amount of hard work and effort he puts into The Tour!

The Invincibles Tour would also like to thank and make special mention of Callaway Australia and Drummond Golf Maroochydore for very generously supporting The Invincibles Tour on the day.

Please keep your eye on The Invincibles website “Notice Board” for any upcoming events!!

Our next event is the much sought after and prestigious Ian Baker-Finch Junior classic where there are only four spots available:
