Drummond Achiever January 2012Drummond Golf (Maroochydore) is proud and delighted to sponsor The Invincibles Achiever of the Month Award. Recipients of this Award will receive a $50 Drummond Gift Voucher to be used in their store along with a sleeve of Callaway golf balls courtesy of Callaway Australia. The Invincibles Tour wish to thank Roy & Kim McClean, Terry Young and their team at Drummond Golf Maroochydore and Callaway Australia for their very generous support of Junior Golf on the Sunshine Coast, where this month’s winner of the Drummond Golf Achiever Award is...............
1 Drummond Shaughnessy July 2019

Lewis Shaughnessy (Maroochy River) for achieving what most golfers can only dream about or aspire to, when he achieved a “HOLE in ONE” with his trusty 9 iron on the very challenging 130m par 3 fourth at Maroochy River, during the running of their Black Tee Challenge on the 1st of July.

“It wasn’t my best shot, but it went in after a couple of bounces and I suppose that’s all that counts, Lewis said with a beaming grin from one side of his face to the other”.

The Invincibles committee congratulates Lewis on behalf of everyone on Tour for his outstanding achievement, an achievement that certainly makes him a very worthy winner of our DRUMMOND GOLF ACHIEVER of the MONTH AWARD for July 2019!!!

Other Invincibles members that could consider themselves extremely unlucky not to win the Drummond Award for July were, last month’s winner Cassie Porter (Peregian Golf Course) who lost in a play-off during the running of the NSW Junior Championships when Hye Park birdied the first play-off hole, but it was Cassie’s ten (10) under par on day two that really got everyone’s attention.

Ben Duncombe (Coral Cove) was also in the running for winning the Mount Coolum Junior Open with a one over 73.

The Tour is aware that some of their members could be overlooked for the Drummond Award, so if you believe you know someone that is deserving of this award, please feel free to nominate them via gmmiller@bigpond.com and they will certainly be considered!

Our 5, 6 or 9-Hole “Drummond Golf Achiever Award” for July, is Chase Rendell (Tin Can Bay) for winning Noosa Springs Junior Classic on Sunday the 14th of July.

Like most juniors on The Invincibles Tour, this award is as much about attitude and temperament and the way they present themselves, both on and off the course.

Chase like so many of our Invincibles members, creates a great atmosphere on Tour and that’s something we should all appreciate, because it helps create a fun, friendly and competitive environment for all juniors and their families to enjoy their golf!

Chase will receive a $25.00 Drummond Golf Voucher along with a sleeve of balls courtesy of Callaway Australia for his fantastic achievement, an achievement that certainly

 1 Drummond Rendell July 2019

makes him a very worthy winner of our Drummond Achiever of The Month award for July.

For our juniors that are just starting out, it is important to note that there is a history where our juniors strive for excellence and develop the appropriate people skills to take them to the highest level, if they have the passion, dedication and focus that’s required!

As we’ve witnessed from our past members (now seniors) who are doing an incredible job representing The Invincibles Tour, The Sunshine Coast and Australia at the highest level, which we are incredibly proud of, members that include, Lochie Coleborn, along with Cameron Smith, Shae Wools – Cobb, Charlie Dann, Cassie Porter, Karis Davidson, Jed Morgan, Rhianna Maree – Lewis, Doug Klein, Chris Crabtree and many others who are all doing a great job representing us on the world stage.

The above Invincibles members epitomise the sportsmanship, camaraderie and etiquette that’s associated with The Invincibles Tour and golf in general.

As mentioned above; to suggest that The Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland is a breeding ground for our future junior champions, would be stating the obvious, but we think it’s fair to say that the best is yet to come, and we would like to invite you to be part of it?

“It is important to note; that to win or qualify for the Drummond Achiever Award or any other Invincibles awards (except The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship) one has to be a member of The Invincibles Tour”

The Invincibles season starts on the 1st of January, through to the 31st of December.

The Invincibles Tour, on behalf of their juniors and families would like to take this opportunity to thank Roy and Kim McClean and Terry Young “Drummond Golf Maroochydore” and “Callaway Australia” for their continuing and very generous support of junior golf.

There’s no doubt that programs like The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Junior Golfing Tour could ever exist or be the outstanding success it is, without the very generous support from organizations like Drummond Golf Maroochydore and Callaway Australia!
