Tyler Quaill (Maroochy River) for making the most of his down time caused by the Covid-19 virus, to create a balance between his studies and his golf.
Tyler was chosen for the May Drummond Award, mainly because of his outstanding achievement in dropping from div 2 to div 1 over the past couple of months, after reducing his handicap from 5.3 to 1.4, a reduction of 3.9, which is a fantastic effort!
It certainly helps when your playing partner is past member and Invincibles Ambassador Shae Wools- Cobb, who just happened to roll off five straight birdies, to kick off the back nine in their round at Maroochy River.
Just for the record, Shae finished at 7 under and Tyler 1 over.
The Invincibles committee congratulates Tyler on behalf of everyone on Tour for his outstanding achievement, an achievement that most certainly makes him a very worthy winner of our DRUMMOND GOLF ACHIEVER of the MONTH AWARD for May 2020!!!
Another member that could consider himself very unlucky not to receive the Drummond Award was James Riseley (Pelican Waters) who also dropped his handicap considerably, from 2.6 to 0.9 which was a fantastic effort in itself.
“The Invincibles Tour would like to take this opportunity to thank all our past and present members, particularly Shae, Charlie Dann, Cassie Porter and Justice Bosio and many others, because their support and mentoring goes a long way towards creating a visual and obtainable future for our members to strive for. So, on behalf of everyone on Tour, we would like to pass on our thanks and appreciation!”
“Whilst The Tour is on hold due to the obvious, The Invincibles Tour in partnership with Drummond Golf Maroochydore have decided to continue with their “Drummond Achiever Award” so if you are aware of any junior that you believe deserves to be acknowledged for a past performance, sportsmanship or has done something special in the community, please let us know via email@example.com so they can be considered”
Given the situation caused by the Covid-19 isolation, these awards will be kept in house until it is safe to present them, and they will have a six-month expiry date!
Our 5 or 9-Hole “Drummond Golf Achiever Award” for May, goes to Brody MacRae (Maroochy River - pictured below) for his passion, drive and in the way he presents himself and supports his sister, both on and off the golf course!
As mentioned previously, the 5-9 Drummond Award is not so much about winning an event, as it is about playing the game and making the most of your opportunities, putting back into the game where ever possible and for the way he supports his fellow team-mates, and The Tour certainly feels that Brody has all of these qualities!
We feel, as history would suggest, The Invincibles Tour, The Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland is a breeding ground for our
future champions, would be stating the obvious, but we think it’s fair to say that the best is yet to come, and we would like to invite you to be part of it?
“It is important to note; that to win or qualify for the Drummond Achiever Award or any other Invincibles awards (except The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship) one has to be a member of The Invincibles Tour”
The Invincibles season starts on the 1st of January, through to the 31st of December.

The Invincibles Tour, on behalf of their juniors and families would like to take this opportunity to thank Roy and Kim McClean “Drummond Golf Maroochydore” and “Callaway Australia” for their continuing and very generous support of junior golf.
There’s no doubt that programs like The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Junior Golfing Tour could ever exist or be the outstanding success it is, without the very generous support from organizations like Drummond Golf Maroochydore and Callaway Australia!
