For those lucky juniors that ventured to Tin Can Bay to contest their Junior Classic, were treated to a perfect day for golf and most importantly, for the warm and friendly country hospitality that the team at Tin Can are renowned for. Particularly for Zoe Maxwell (Virginia) and Ben Duncombe (Coral Cove - pictured) who took out their respective titles with rounds of….
75 and 69 respectively.
Ben’s 69 would have set a new Invincibles Course Record at Tin Can Bay, but unfortunately, given it was preferred lie, ruled him out, but nevertheless, a brilliant effort!
Congratulations to our Invincibles members and those keen golfers throughout South East Queensland, particularly the fantastic squad from Hervey Bay who really came to enjoy themselves and take up the challenge of contesting the 2019 Tin Can Bay Classic!
Despite some heavy rain leading into the weekend, our juniors and their families didn’t regret their choice, given we were treated to an absolute cracker of a day for Tin Can Bay to host their Classic, where we witnessed some incredible golf.
Zoe Maxwell (Virginia – p1 below) and Ben Duncombe (Coral Cove – p2) qualified for The Invincibles 2019 IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship that will be hosted by the very generous and supportive Twin Waters, Pelican Waters, Peregian Golf Course, and Noosa Springs Golf Resorts
during the last week of the September School holidays (Sunday the 29th of Sept to Wednesday the 2nd of October 2019).
Rafferty Noar (Noosa Golf Club – p3 and p4 above) won The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Course Cup with his excellent 69 nett (c/b) and in the process qualified for The Invincibles Gold Cup of Cups Championship, that will be hosted by Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort (Sunday November 24) followed immediately by The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner, where we would like to think that all Gold Cup contestants would make themselves available!
The Invincibles Inter – Club Team Shield points are as follows: Maroochy River Golf Club earned the four points for winning round 3 for 2019, Hervey Bay Golf Club earned two points for second, with Pelican Waters Golf Club coming in third to earn one point!!!

The Tour would like to thank the great team at Tin Can Bay Golf Club, particularly Janet, Sandra, Pam, Laurel, Vince and Bevan for having their course and facilities in fantastic condition, but most importantly, for making everyone feel welcome.
Tin Can Bay and The Tour would also like to thank Bevan & Sandra Reibel for their very willing and generous sponsorship of their Tin Can Bay’s Junior Classic.
If you see something special happen at any Junior Classic or Open, or around the traps, please bring them to Graeme’s attention as we would like everyone to enjoy the moment?
