Even though the day was a beautiful sunny day, that was offset by the incredible wind that gusted across the course, which wasn’t about to deter the competitors from making the most of their opportunity or the great team at Peregian from having their course and facilities set up magnificently to host their Junior Classic. The windy…………….

Conditions certainly tested everyone patience and resolve, but despite the challenges that brought to the day as the scores would indicate, our juniors really buckled down and took up the Challenge!

Norika Wakayama (Royal Pines p1 below) and Manato Nakatani (Surfers Paradise p2) worked hard against the tough conditions to record wins with rounds of 75 and 69, respectively, particularly Manato’s 69, which was exceptional given the conditions!

The Tour would like to congratulate both Norika and Manato for their performances in qualifying for The Invincibles IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championships, that will be hosted by Peregian Golf Course, Twin Waters, and Noosa Golf & Spa Resort from the 26th to the 29th of September.

Nathan Jackson (Noosa p4-5) won The Invincibles Course Cup with 68 nett, which in turn qualified him for their Gold Cup of Cups Championship, that will be hosted by the magnificently manicured Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort, Sunday the 21st of November, followed immediately by The Invincibles Presentation Dinner.

The Invincibles Inter-Club Team shield points for round 8 went to Pelican Waters who earned four points for coming first with 226, Maroochy River was second on 231 to receive 2 points and Noosa who came in third place on 233 to collect 1 point.

The Invincibles Tour on behalf of their members, families, and guests, would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Daniel Morrison (Director of Golf) and particularly Jacob Harrison and Cassie Porter who did a brilliant job hosting their Classic.

The team at Peregian have always been enormously generous supporters of The Invincibles Tour and go out of their way wherever possible to make sure our Tour and junior golf in general is given every opportunity to thrive and we would like to thank them for having their course and facilities set up magnificently to host their Classic, but most importantly, in the way they made everyone feel so welcome.
